About Christie
My greatest joy in photography is getting to know my clients and hearing their stories. Helping them bring their passion and joy to life for everyone to see.
One of the things I love about working with wellness professionals and retreats is that I get to learn about different ways of healing and helping people. Everyone uses their own unique gifts and has their own way of working. It’s so cool to be on a retreat and see transformations happening right before your eyes over a weekend or short period of time. And I get to meet to sweetest humans on the planet. Every space I enter is filled with so much love, safety and support and I feel so lucky to get to do this work.
In my personal life, I love to be at home with Andrew and our two cats Cardi and Cooper, making a cozy little home to spend time together. I enjoy spending time outside and learning all about gardening. I also love to go on little adventures to the beach or spending time in the forest, anywhere in nature is the best way to spend the day.
My Origin Story
I started my photography journey during Covid when I was looking for a creative outlet to help distract me from the heaviness of life at the time. I started by taking photos of beautiful sunrises over the country landscape on the way to work at my corporate 9-5 job in pharmaceutical manufacturing. I loved taking pictures of sunrises and sunsets, beach landscapes and how the sun reflects through leaves. It gave me permission to sit in nature and be calm in the quiet. It was a way to connect to my inner peace and intuition. And I loved watching animals, just sitting there observing them in their natural habitat, unbothered and unhurried.
As I started to gain the confidence to work with people, I would ask people who I admired if they wanted photos and jump in before I felt like I knew what I was doing. I would jump in head first, feel the fear and see what I could create. Each time I had a shoot, it always went better than I was expecting and helped me build confidence to keep going. Each opportunity gave me experience and portfolio building photos to book my next opportunity. As I was learning and growing and networking, I got to meet some really cool people who have a passion for healing and spirituality and I felt like I was finding my community. It’s been an unexpected journey but I think it was all meant to be and photography gave me this amazing opportunity to find likeminded people and be able to learn and grow and help others too.
